Drinking is prohibited in Islam. But why Urdu poets, especially ghazal writers, often write about drinking Sharab (liquor), Saki (Wine server), mayakhana (Liquor store) in their writings ? Are Urdu poets drunkards ?
जवाब देंहटाएंBrother, Urdu is not the language of Islam and its no way associated with it. Quran was not written in Urdu, it was merely translated in Urdu for the 'commoner' Indian .It was translated in English ,Latin ,Bengali,French etc before it was translated in Urdu the translation to Urdu took place only around 200 years ago but the Quran was written 1374 years ago,it was the language of Hindustan and will remain one of the language of India. It was the language of commoners at that time.you cant speak Hindi without using Urdu words, itds part of our culture
हटाएंUrdu is not the language of Islam and never has ever been. Its one of the many languages of Hindustan. Quran was not written in Urdu(you may know that),it was merely translated and that too very recently. It was translated in English, Latin,French,Russian,Dutch,Sindhi and even Bengali before it was translated to Urdu.Quran is 1374 old and the Urdu translation is only 200 years old.Urdu is in no way related to Islam in any way.On your question why many poetic pieces are written about liquor is sir because Urdu was the language of the poor and working class when it was quran was translated in Urdu many religious opposed because it was the language of commoners .Iam no Urdu expert but i "think" it was sort of tapori language of today, but slowly it gained popularity.
हटाएंMaikhana and maikada are synonymous???
जवाब देंहटाएंRape is also prohibited in this world according to country law and religious law but why this word is also writing? is it means all over the world people are rapist
जवाब देंहटाएंPlease don't divide languages to any religion. Urdu is a beautiful language. I think in Hindi literature also, poets use urdu words to get complete sense and beauty. So urdu is not a religious language. I am a keralite. But I like urdu poems and ghazals.
